Ibiza is known around the world for its clubs, but there is much more to the island. Dalt Vila, the walled old town of Ibiza Town, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the meadows of Posidonia seagrass that help keep the water so clear.

The north and east are quieter, with family friendly resorts such as Santa Eulària, while Cala Comte in the west is known for its sunsets. The hippy market at Es Canar has run since the 1970s.

Fast ferries take around half an hour to the smaller island of Formentera.
